Kimchi-Ninja is moving

Hello,

I am updating on a new website

www.soerha.wordpress.com & www.soerha.tumblr.com

The reasons are because I created an onswipe account and this puts all my stuff under one place
www.onswipe.com/sfizzle --- only for Ipad users.

If you still read this blog, please join me at those websites for updates.

This blog will remain here for old posts. I still like it here but I couldn't get it to link to the onswipe account. :(

DS: Breakfast at Tiffany's

I should be working right now. I know I should be but I can't help posting this up.

One of my favorite movies was the inspiration to one of my favorite websites.

Design Sponge does Breakfast at Tiffany's

I want the mask. I always thought that was the cutest mask. HOWEVER, I probably need the earplugs more. Yap is quite vocal (nasal?) in his sleep.

This just reminds me of the good old college days when my roommate and I messed with everyone in our dorm and told them our names were "-----" (oh man I forgot!) and "Holly" (after Holly Golightly of course)

One summer in high school, I watched so many Audrey Hepburn movies that I pronounced my "P"s exactly like her.

Who wouldn't want to be like Audrey??!!

Top Chef Fabio

I got a call from Andrew this morning.

A: "Hello. There is someone who wants to talk to you"
Me: "Ok...."
Fabio: "Hello! ......You might not like it but I took a picture with Andrew.......sitting on my lap..........he's a good guy..........give him a big kiss tonight............ok bye....."

Sorry guys, I can't remember half the things that were said. He speaks very fast. Must be the Italian in him.

It made my day. Thanks Yap for having Fabio talk to me today!

The Last Six Weeks

Guys, it's been a tough last six weeks. From rocky roads of friendship to finding out we almost had to find an alternate ceremony for the wedding (with six weeks to go) to my poor dog having sciatica (on three different types of medication and reduced activity), last night I wanted to bury my head in a pillow and not move until the wedding.

Somehow, you keep going with everything that goes on because in reality it's not that bad. Honestly, I know it's not.

It's just hard when you can't catch a break in awhile but you have something really amazing to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. It just seems so far away still.

I am lucky, though, and I don't forget it. I met the man of my dreams and I get to marry him in a few weeks. How many people get to say that?

Weddingstravaganza

It's two months away and I am starting to get in the crazy panic mode of planning.

Procrastination planning is what I like to call it. Don't ever try this at home.

Baby Toto

As I was looking for pictures for the wedding blog to post of the bridesmaids, I found an old picture of Toto. I miss that guy when he was that small. He was extremely adorable.

Look, he's not bigger than the newspaper!

Ad Hoc

I wanted to post this delicious meal that Hana and I enjoyed on a spontaneous Sunday to Napa.
We decided to drop in Ad Hoc and see if we can squeeze in. They actually had space for walk-ins that day! Let me tell you, it was fantastic. Sorry for some food envy.

Salad - bacon and blue cheese!

Beef Brisket on Brioche Toast w/Chard, Eggs, and Scalloped Potatoes
You may drool now.

Dessert - Brownies and Ice Cream. Oh yum.

My brunch date, Hana

Healdsburg

Yap, Toto, and I spent the weekend in Healdsburg. Wayne and Greg joined us on Saturday.
Sunday was letter pressing day! We spent hours letter pressing the covers of the invitations. We were like little robots.
Thanks Wayne + Greg!

Here is a photo journal of the weekend.

Oakland Marathon 2011

Judy, Men Jyn, and I ran the Oakland Half-Marathon on Sunday, March 27th. The day was perfect. It was overcast with no rain. Only one stretch had a bit of sun. Trust me when you run for a LONG time, you don't want to run with the sun beating down on you.

According to the website, we ran it in 3 hours and 5 minutes. I think it was a little bit under 3 hours but whatever.

Miles 1-10: I felt great. On top of the world. Cheering everyone. High fiving firemen and guys in gorilla suits. Running forwards and backwards. I was a champ.
Half way into Mile 11: Pit stop into the port-a-potty. Starting to feel tired.
Miles 11-12: Running around Lake Merritt. Really really really really tired. Mentally beating myself up for wasting energy in miles 1-10.
Mile 12-13: WHY????????????????????????
Mile 13.1: I see the end, run faster. Why can't I get to the finish line right now. Finish Line: YES. Get me fat food and to bed NOW.

I am proud of us all finishing together and in a timely manner. The next two days I feel like a 100 year old woman. BLAST stairs!

Wikipedia - 50 Degrees of Separation to Fremont CA

Happy 2011! Yeah yeah. I know. It's March. Where have I been?

It's been a long time my three little friends that read my blog.

So one night I was watching What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? It's this old movie about two sisters that were big vaudeville acts. So Jane is the elder sister and was part of a vaudeville act called Baby Jane. At a young age, their parents die and they go live with their aunt. The aunt adores the younger sister Blanche and makes her a big vaudeville star. Anyways, they grow up to be old women living in the aunt's mansion in LA. And it's one of the freakiest movies......ever.

So this entry really isn't about the movie. So I went online and looked up the movie on Wikipedia. I watched this movie along time ago and I wanted to refresh my memory on what happened.

So I read the article on the movie.
Then I clicked on Joan Crawford. (crazy lady)
Click on Mommy Dearest
Go back to Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Click on Bette Davis (crazy lady)
Click click click
Claudette Colbert (needs to be photographed from the right)
click click click
Clark Gable (humanitarian)
click click click
Laurence Olivier (gay?)
Vivien Leigh (what up crazy lady!)
click click click
Charlie Chaplin (loves young, young girls)
click
Fremont, CA (where Charlie Chaplin filmed some of his films)

And that's how I spent a night folks. Aziz is so right. Don't judge.
