Nightmare

Last night, my friends were over, eating dinner and talking. It was fun, we had a nice meal, nice conversations.

We heard a screech and a crash. Oh god. I was praying it wasn't my car.

My friends peered through the blinds.

Yep, it's my car.

I'll update with a picture later. The driver side is banged up.

It's like Jon's accident all over again, except WAYYYYY less dramatic. (I was trying to find that post to link it but I can't.)

Still trying to get a hold of someone at All State that can actually help me. Grrr.......

Anyways, the guy who hit my car gave me his info and my weekend/week will be taking care of this mess.

Blah. But even worse was today when I took Toto to check out his lump on his head. He has a growth and I left him there to get it surgically removed. He'll be there overnight and the vet is going to clean his anal glands, ears, and eyes because he was infected in all those places in addition to having a painful lump on his head.

They will perform a biopsy to determine if this is gonna be okay or bad.................

I am worried for poor little Toto.

This weekend sucks.

Vulcans - not the Roman kind

So Caffeinated Muslim wrote about she made a reference to Vulcans (well a specific Vulcan) and her friends (who by the way are not geeky) did not know what a Vulcan is.

--- If you want the whole bit of what a Vulcan is please refer here: Vulcan Wiki page - It's not the best, but it's the easiest to get the idea of it.

Anyways, so I wanted to put this out to my fellow co-workers.

What is a Vulcan?

I got:

- why don't you Wikipedia it?
- Toucan Sam?
- something from Star Trek? (Which I would like to let you know that person cheated.)

Oh and my friend Lam first guessed it was a god of a religion. Which she is correct. (Roman Mythology - Vulcan)

Anyways I digress, Bushra really put it right that you can't assume people know about Star Trek.

I didn't know that Vulcan was also a Roman god. (There are too many Greek/Roman gods for me to remember and this is why I would never be good with a polytheistic religion.) And there are people out there that don't care for Star Trek. And there are people that don't care for either. (see all my co-workers).

So I guess it comes down to what kind of geek are you?
(apparently none of my co-workers are any kind of geeky. sigh.)

Get Carried Away

The tagline is cheesy. Probably 75% of this movie was pretty damn cheesy. But I enjoyed watching it nonetheless. I think it was for the fashion which the show is known to have ridiculous fashion.

Bird in your hair? A giant flower on your shoulder that takes up half your body? Oh well I mean there were some nice things, like the shoes. :)

I mean really I guess I have no soul because apparently there were many girls who laughed and cried at the movie.

That's right I am a jawa.
